The Cowboys signed Cropper to the practice squad Wednesday, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Cropper will stick around on the Cowboys' taxi squad after he was unable to make the 53-man roster. He has yet to appear in a regular-season game since signing with Dallas as an undrafted free agent in April of 2023.

The Cowboys waived Cropper on Tuesday.
Analysis: Cropper spent all of 2023 on the Cowboys' practice squad. Sad Yousuf of The Athletic relayed Wednesday that Cropper had been one of the most consistent wide receivers during training camp. While Cropper accumulated five catches on 10 targets for 32 yards across three preseason games, it wasn't enough for him to stick around on the 53-man roster. Cropper could be invited back to Dallas to join the practice squad again, or he could explore his options elsewhere assuming he clears waivers.

Consistent showing in camp
Cropper has been the most consistent of the Cowboys' depth wide receivers in training camp, Saad Yousuf of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: With CeeDee Lamb (contract dispute) holding out, there have been additional reps available behind Brandin Cooks (personal), Jalen Tolbert and Jalen Brooks, and Cropper has gotten a chance to make a positive impression on the coaching staff. Moreno-Cropper signed a reserve/future contract with the Cowboys on Monday.
Analysis: Moreno-Cropped spent the entirety of the 2023 season on the team's practice squad and will now stick around for the offseason. The wide receiver will look to compete for an active roster spot with Dallas in 2024.
