Nails all four PATs
Karty connected on all four of his extra-point tries during Thursday's 30-20 victory against the Vikings.
Analysis: The rookie kicker wasn't asked to do much against the Vikings, but Karty was able to shake the nerves off after two straight weeks with a missed PAT and drilled all four of his extra-point attempts. Karty's next task will be handling the imposing crowd of the division-rival Seahawks in Week 9, and he'll look to return to his perfect field-goal kicking form he had in Weeks 1-3.

Struggles in victory
Karty missed his only field-goal attempt and made two of three PAT attempts during Sunday's 20-15 victory against the Raiders.
Analysis: The rookie kicker missed an extra point for the second consecutive game, and sent a 35-yard field-goal attempt into the left upright in the fourth quarter, a field goal that was critical because it would have pushed the Rams into a two-possession lead over the Raiders. Karty had been a reliable kicker through the Rams' first four games, but a trio of misses in his last two games will be something to monitor going forward, with a tough task at hand in Week 8 against one of the top teams in the…read more

Has PAT blocked
Karty connected on one of his two extra-point tries during Sunday's 24-19 loss to the Packers.
Analysis: The rookie kicker never had a chance to attempt a field goal, and in the second quarter, his PAT attempt after a pick-six was blocked. Heading into the Rams' Week 6 bye, Karty is a solid 9-for-10 on field-goal attempts and has one miss in eight PAT tries, one of the lone bright spots on a Rams offense that has been struggling with injury and ineffectiveness through the first quarter of the season.

Logs first career missed FG
Karty connected on four of five field-goal attempts during Sunday's 24-18 loss to Chicago.
Analysis: Karty's first NFL missed field goal was a 43-yard attempt that went wide left. Despite the miss, Karty was able to connect on his other four kicks, including a 52-yard attempt in the fourth quarter that made it a one-possession game. Through four games, Karty is 9-for-10 on field-goal attempts and connected on all six PAT's, and he's convincingly shored up the kicking job that was an area of frustration for the Rams last season. The Packers come to town for a Week 5 showdown before the Rams go…read more

Drills game-winning FG
Karty connected on both of his field-goal attempts and converted all three of his extra point-tries during Sunday's 27-24 victory against San Francisco.
Analysis: Karty only managed to practice once during the week before Sunday's contest according to Stu Jackson of the team's official site. The lack of practice time and a nagging groin injury didn't deter the rookie kicker from showing why the team invested a sixth-round pick on him, as he came through with a 37-yard field goal with five seconds left to give the Rams their first victory of the season. Karty is a perfect 5-for-5 on field goals and 6-for-6 on extra points so far this season and looks…read more

Active versus 49ers
Karty (groin) is listed as active Sunday's game against the 49ers, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.
Analysis: Karty approached the contest listed as questionable after returning to a limited practice Friday. He'll be available Sunday, but the 0-2 Rams' kicker will be working behind a short-handed offense that is minus its top two wide receivers, Cooper Kupp (ankle) and Puka Nacua (knee).

Questionable with groin injury
Karty (groin) officially is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Analysis: If Karty is unable to play through his groin injury, Tanner Brown would take over kicking duties for Los Angeles. Scoring opportunities could be hard to come by Sunday for a Rams offense without its top two wide receivers Cooper Kupp (ankle) and Puka Nacua (knee) against San Francisco's stout defense.

Still not practicing
Karty (groin) didn't practice Thursday, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: With back-to-back absences to open Week 3 prep, Karty is trending in the wrong direction to be available for Sunday's game against the 49ers. The Rams could signal whether or not Karty has a chance to play this weekend on its final injury report of the week Friday or by elevating Tanner Brown from the practice squad Saturday. In the end, one of Karty or Brown will be L.A.'s placekicker for Week 3.

Sits out practice Wednesday
Karty (groin) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: The Rams' rookie kicker tweaked his groin in last Sunday's 41-10 loss to the Cardinals. Through two contests, Karty has drilled all three of his field-goal attempts and all three of his extra-point attempts. Head coach Sean McVay said earlier in the week that he expects Karty to be available for Sunday's game against the 49ers, but the Rams signed Tanner Brown to the practice squad Tuesday as a potential replacement if Karty doesn't bounce back from the groin injury as anticipated.

Tweaks groin Sunday
Rams head coach Sean McVay said Monday that Karty tweaked his groin during Sunday's 41-10 loss to the Cardinals, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: McVay added that he expects Karty to play Week 3 against the 49ers, but the kicker's practice participation will be something to monitor throughout the week. Karty, a 2024 sixth-round pick from Stanford, has made all three of his field-goal attempts and all three of his extra-point tries through the first two weeks of the season.

Perfect in debut performance
Karty connected on both of his field-goal attempts and converted both of his extra-point tries during Sunday's 26-20 overtime loss to the Lions.
Analysis: Through one game, the Rams' kicker, a position that was a major point of concern last season, seems to have developed some stability. Karty came through with a 41-yard field goal in the first quarter before drilling a 26-yard attempt in the fourth. The sixth-round rookie from Stanford continued to build on a solid preseason (5-of-6 on field goals) and should continue to have plenty of opportunities to produce against the Cardinals in Week 2.

Misses PAT in preseason finale
Karty converted a 21-yard field-goal attempt and missed his lone extra-point try during Saturday's 17-15 loss against the Texans.
Analysis: The rookie kicker out of Stanford missed the first PAT of his NFL career when he clanged the kick off the right upright in the second quarter. Karty did manage to improve his record on field goals this preseason to 5-of-6 with a chip-shot field goal to start the scoring for the Rams in the first quarter, and overall he did an admirable job compared to Tanner Brown's 2-of-4 performance in last year's preseason. Karty should have some margin for error early on in the season given the Rams…read more

Misses 52-yard FG attempt
Karty made two of three field goal attempts and converted his only PAT during Saturday's 13-9 victory against the Chargers.
Analysis: Karty's miss from 52 yards shouldn't be too concerning, as the Rams' rookie kicker still managed to boot field goals from 48 and 43 yards, respectively. The Stanford product has officially won the starting kicking job, as Tanner Brown was released by Rams earlier this week. Karty has been solid through two preseason contests, making 4-of-5 field-goal attempts and both of his extra point tries. Karty will get one last chance to get acclimated in a preseason Week 3 showdown with the Texans.

Perfect start to preseason
Karty connected on both of his field-goal attempts and converted his lone extra-point attempt during Sunday's 13-12 win against the Cowboys.
Analysis: The sixth-round rookie out of Stanford looks likely to win the competition for starting kicker over Tanner Brown, as he nailed field goals from 28 and 39 yards out before hitting a game-winning PAT. After a 2023 season where Lucas Havrisik and Brett Maher missed a total of 11 field-goal attempts between them, the stability that the sure-footed Karty offers (51 of 60 on field goals and 72 of 73 on PATs over three collegiate seasons) will be appreciated by a Rams' fan base that was spoiled with…read more
